Communities In Schools of Cape Fear is excited to be a partner of the Cape Fear Healthy Opportunities Pilot (HOP), a state and federally funded program aiming to improve the overall health of qualifying Medicaid members and improve healthcare costs. Our role is to serve clients struggling with interpersonal violence through case management services.

In 2023, Communities In Schools of Cape Fear, in partnership with HOP, kicked off cohorts of The Incredible Years, a specialized support group for families with children ages 6- 12!

The free sessions met weekly for 12 weeks, and shared tools to help regulate a child’s emotions, promote positive behaviors, overcome family challenges, and grow closer as a family. The goal was for each session to leave families feeling more connected, empowered and hopeful! Case management services were available through CIS Cape Fear staff during and after each cycle of the Incredible Years.
